She was predeceased by: her parents, Tom Eason and Nettie Saunders Eason; her husband Calvin "Peter Pan" Casper; her grandson Billy Townsend; and her sisters, Mildred Weeks, Louise Stallings, Margie Gregory, Betty Lou Riddick and Gracie Riddick.
She is survived by: her children, Carolyn LaFleur (Mike), Connie Riddick (Donald) and Steve Casper (Gene); her grandchildren, Damon Winslow (Shannon) and Jessica Santana (Boni); her granddaughter-in-law Maddy Townsend; and her great grandchildren, Summer Christian (Julie), Marcos Santana, Faith Christian, Rylee Townsend, Bryar Townsend, James Winslow and Jackson Winslow. She is also survived by grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 11th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home (1125 Harvey Point Rd, Hertford, NC 27944). A graveside service was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Up River Cemetery (195 Turnpike Rd, Belvidere, NC 27919).
