It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Odell Murray of Bennett, North Carolina, who passed away on June 5, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter Murray and Oppie Tillman Murray; his wife Patricia Phillips Murray; and his siblings, Winnie Mae McDuffie, Lounette Murray Ingold and Alvin Murray.

He is survived by : his children, Shawn Murray (Angie) of Bennett, Jonathan Murray (Belinda) of Bennett and Aedrin Murray Albright (Bradley) of Bear Creek; his grandchildren, Chase Murray, Reagan Murray, Reid Albright, Lizzy Murray, Brooks Albright and Turner; and his brothers, Robert Lindell Murray of Bennett and Kenneth Harold Murray of Bennett.

In lieu of flowers, Richard requested memorials or donations be made to the Food Bank of Beulah Baptist Church.
