He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Scott and Nellie Scott; his son Robert Gale Scott; and his grandson Cory Gale Scott. He is survived by: his wife Shelby Phillips Scott; his sons, Jeff Scott (Kathy) of Bennett and Jason Scott (Katherine) of Bennett; his sister Dixie Scott Holt of Siler City; his grandchildren, Kellie Soddy (Dustin), Sarah Scott, Anna Pruitt (Tyler), Mary Scott, Samantha Scott, Wendy Dixon (Wes) and Blake Dixon (Maggie); and his great grandchildren, Stephen, Brynlee, Wyatt, Hudson and Skylar.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Joyce-Brady Chapel (3833 Chatham St, Bennett, NC 27208). A graveside service was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Fall Creek Baptist Church (1745 Fall Creek Church Rd, Bennett, NC 27208).
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the Fall Creek Cemetery fund.
