It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alton Lavelle King (Benson, North Carolina), who passed away on November 4, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Haywood Alton and Mary Dupree King; his wife Ruth Young King; his son Anthony Wayne King; his son-in-law Eddie Holt Byrd; his grandson Benjamin Neil Byrd; and his brother Samuel Howard King.
He is survived by: his daughters, Deborah King Byrd of Willow Spring and Lori King Stancil (Kenneth) of Willow Spring; his grandson Damien Wayne King of Angier; his great grandchild Lana King; and his siblings, Helen Smith of Willow Spring, Glenn King (Margaret) of Coats and Jerry King (Peggy) of Four Oaks.
