David Anthony Godwin Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 19, 2022, at the age of 86, David Anthony Godwin of Benson, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Enoch E. Godwin; his wife Charlotte Jernigan Godwin; his siblings, Betty Tyler, Bernard Godwin, Samuel Godwin, Enoch Godwin Jr., Sister Mary Julia Godwin, Katie West, Flonnie Fisher, Mary Ida McHugh, Johnnie Godwin, Anna DuBree, Carolyn Redmond and Frances Fisler; his son-in-law Steve Page; and his granddaughter Hannah Elizabeth Parente.
He is survived by: his children, Angela Page of Benson, Annette Atkins (Day) of Greensboro, Barbara Boyette (John) of Greensboro, David L. Godwin (Barbara) of Benson and Jo Anna Parente (Vince) of Benson; and his siblings, George Godwin (Jean) of Benson and Agnes Keating (Tom) of Supply. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
