It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elameta Adams Barefoot Norris (Benson, North Carolina), who passed away on August 11, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Condary Adams; her husbands, John Vinson Barefoot and Donald Wayne Norris; her children, James Waylon Barefoot, Deborah Barefoot Bain and Johnny Dale Barefoot; and her siblings, Verneta Johnson, J. C. Adams, Earl Adams, Carroll Adams and Otis Adams.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Phyllis Barefoot; her grandchildren, Michelle Corbett (Scott), Waylon Dale Barefoot (Courtney) and Julie Barefoot; her great grandchildren, Jonathan Corbett (McKenna), Nathan Corbett, Ethan Corbett, Garrett Barefoot and Graycen Barefoot; her great great grandchild Laney Corbett; her sisters, Josephine Jones, Maverine Jernigan and Normalene Stevens; and her stepchildren, Roger Norris (Robin) and Karen Womack. She is also survived by several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren, many loving nieces and nephews.
