She was predeceased by: her father James Thomas, Sr.; and her siblings, James Thomas Pearson, Jr., Harry Stewart Pearson, Edna Burke, Ashley Gray Pearson and Linwood Pearson.
She is survived by: her children, Tommy Smith, Debbie of Benson, Cathy Gillespie of Burgaw, Sandra Allen (Gary) of Four Oaks, Dianne Clark (Curtis) of Newton Grove and Randy Smith (Brandy) of Rosewood; her grandchildren, Shon Smith (Gina), Micheal Gillespie (Amanda), Holly Eller (Jeremy), DeWayne Allen (Melissa), Kyle Smith, Emily, Casey Clark, C. J., Skyler Smith and Andrew; and her friend Jean Bell of Four Oaks. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
