It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Norris Godwin of Benson, North Carolina, who passed away on March 15, 2026, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lesker "Leck" Norris and Hattie Beasley Norris; and her siblings, Leo Norris, Brenda Norris, Linwood "Lenny" Norris and Howard Norris.
She is survived by: her husband Mark Godwin; her sons, Greg Godwin (Cassandra) and Kevin Godwin (Calla); her grandchildren, Colton Godwin and Reynolds Godwin; and her brothers, Loyied Norris (Barbara) and Larry Norris (Charlene). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
