It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Genevieve Sorrell (Benson, North Carolina), who passed away at the age of 87, on January 31, 2021. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Thornton (Jim) and Wilhelmina Thornton; and her husband Billy Howard Sorrell. She is survived by: her daughters, Gennie Kirby (Sam) of High Point, Cathey Cottle (Donald) of Angier, Phyllis Mobley (Ralph) of Clayton, Cammie Emery (Bruce) of Clayton and Lisa Parker (James) of Raleigh; her sister Sandra Thompson of Fuquay; and her niece Sonja Voyles of Raleigh, NC.. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

In accordance with the current NC-COVID-19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing guidelines and the three W's: wait, wash and wear a face covering.
