He was predeceased by: his parents, Malcom E. Turnage and Sarah Rosey Surcey Turnage; his granddaughter Audrey Evans; and his sister Maverine Blundell. He is survived by: his wife Jane Turnage; his children, Richard Turnage of Benson, Janet Evans (Mark) of Princeton and Wanda Johnson (Willis) of Four Oaks; his grandchildren, Brent Evans (Christine), Lydia Evans and Garrett Johnson; and his great grandchild Lyla Evans.
