He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Charles, Annie Pope, James Benson, J. C., Esther Smith and Monica Anders; his nephew Hudson Williamson; and his close friend Dwayne Braswell.
He is survived by: his wife Catina Benson; his parents, James Timothy, Sr. and Linda Pope Benson; his children, Kamrie Benson, J. T. Benson, III (Lauryn Fields), Dinalee Spell and Zachary Norris; his grandchildren, Everleigh Spell and Lainey Koch; his sister Jessica Williamson (Matt Howcroft); and his pet Dixie. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Inc. (301 W Main St, Benson, NC 27504).
