He was predeceased by: his parents, Joel Sampson and Sarah Avis Hudson Tew; and his brothers, Joel Sampson Tew, Jr., Glenwood Erastus Tew and Gary Wayne Tew.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Hargis Tew; his sons, Jason Andrew Tew (LeAnn) of Greenville, NC and Alan Nathan Tew (Alaina) of Emerald Isle, NC; his grandchildren, Kaylee Tew, Cole Tew, Caleb Tew, Cason Tew, Aiden Tew and Ava Tew; his siblings, Lois Lee (James) of Dunn, Ernestine Tart (Dwight) of Emerald Isle, Ricky Tew (Carolyn) of Garner and Kathy Woodlief (Alan) of Wake Forest; and his sister-in-law Judy Tew of Coats.
