She was predeceased by: her parents, Ozell Horton and Loudie Jones Horton; her husband Zary Kelly Lucas, Sr.; her sons, Zary Kelly Lucas, Jr. and Michael Blaine Lucas, Sr.; and her sister Jean Horton.
She is survived by: her daughter Julie Lucas Hamilton (Chris Hamilton); her grandchildren, Angela Lucas Blackmon (Junior) of Dunn, Michelle Lucas Holmes (Harold) of Dunn, Crystal Lucas Byrd (John Paul) of Dunn, Michael Blaine Lucas, Jr. (Samantha) of Godwin, Christie Lynn Hamilton of Angier and Cody Lucas Hamilton of Erwin; and her sisters, Geraldine Warren of Durham and Ann Gattis (Bill) of Durham.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Lee's Chapel - Williford Cemetery (5651 US-421, Dunn, NC 28344).
