He is survived by: his wife Shirley McDaniel of Benson; his children, Valinda Barefoot of Coats and Scott McDaniel (Sheryl) of Coats; his grandchildren, Justin McDaniel (Kathryn) of Dunn, Kate Hardee (Jamie) of Coats, Tyler McDaniel, Sami McDaniel of Coats and Donna Valley (Brian) of Coats; his great grandchildren, Easton Hardee, Dawson and Kirsten Valley; and his sister Katie M. Tart of Benson.
