He was predeceased by : his parents, Lester Reaper, Sr. and Alberta Pancake Reaper Keaton; and his siblings, Rick Reaper, Steve Joseph, Jeff Reaper, Janet Reaper Waller, Sandy Reaper Davis and Linda Joseph McDaniel.

He is survived by : his wife Cindy Pauley Reaper; his children, Lester E. Reaper III, Erin Dooley Reaper of Hudson, OH, Joseph Reaper of Benson, NC, Thomas Reaper (Jennifer Zynch Reaper), Alexandra Reaper of Columbus, OH, Joshua Reaper of Columbus, OH and Justin Reaper of Statesville, NC; and his sisters, Bobi Keaton Daniel, Penny Reaper Shope, Janet Joseph Franklin and Cora Joseph Winters. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 14th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Beulah Baptist Church (3140 NC-242, Benson, NC 27504). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
