He is survived by: his wife Maverine Adams Jernigan; his sons, Roger Jernigan (Karen) of Concord and Tracy Jernigan (Dawn) of Sparta, NC; his grandchildren, Jacob Jernigan (Nichole), Zach Jernigan (Ann), Jarod Jernigan and Macy Jernigan Sauls (Chris); his great grandchild Madelyn Paige Jernigan; and his siblings, Jean Hudson (J. R.) of Newton Grove, Nancy Allen of Benson and Donald Jernigan of Benson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
