She was predeceased by: her parents, Arvie L. Peed and Ola T. Peed; and her brother Wayne L. Peed of Angier, NC.. She is survived by: her husband Durwood K. Young; her daughter Amy Agnor (Matt); her grandchildren, Wyatt Evans (Candace), Caitlin Ellington (Landon) and Valerie Lee (Josh); and her great grandchild Dallas Kemp Lee. She is also survived by many loving uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the Firstborn Baptist Church (10781 NC-50, Benson, NC 27504). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
