She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Benjamin Karlen and Loretta Wirkus Karlen. She is survived by: her husband Sanford "Sandy" Beard; her children, Timothy Knauf (Sheree), Rhonda Grabko (Jim), Angela Keaveney (Marty), Brian Beard (Corine) and Jeffrey MacBeard (Jenny); her grandchildren, Mitchell, Connor, Jacob, Hannah, Fletcher, George and Elliott; her great grandchildren, Caleb, Lydia and Eden; and her siblings, Kathleen Strasser, Jerry Karlen and Gene Karlen.
She made over 100 quilts as part of the quilting group, several hundred Covid masks and at least 200 backpacks.
