It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Keith Franklin in Bessemer City, North Carolina, who passed away on September 6, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, F. O. Franklin, Sr. and Doris Penland Franklin; his wife Frances Stewart Franklin; and his siblings, Lillian Franklin, Leona McCarter, Jim Franklin, Sue Hughes, Frank Franklin, Jr. and Josie Shuford.
He is survived by: his daughters, Alma Rhyne (Jeff), Sarah Lee Renner (Stan) and Donna Kallam (Perry); his grandchildren, Mary Renner, Beth Farmer (Tyler), Jacob Rhyne (Jaclyn) and Joseph Rhyne; and his great grandchildren, Davis, Anna Farmer, Nolan and Maddie Rhyne. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
