James Franklin leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. James Franklin’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew James Franklin will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his wife Brenda Jarrell Goodnight. He is survived by: his daughters, Lynn G. Wright (Tom) of Beulaville, NC and Kim G. Feith (Joe) of Castle Hayne, NC; his grandchildren, Caraline Wright and Courtney Wright; and his siblings-in-law, Roger, Carol Jarrell, Loretta and Jim Martin.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Ivy Green Baptist Church (818 Old Lowgap Rd, Mt Airy, NC 27030).
