He is survived by: his wife Ada Thigpen Brown of Beulaville; his children, Celeste Brown Kirby (Brian) of Greenville and Jarrett Brown (Stephanie) of Raleigh; and his grandchildren, Emily Kirby Nagle (Tom), Mary Ellen Kirby Ward (Brandon), Eli Kirby, Caroline Brown and Vivienne Brown.
