It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Ray Tartt of Beulaville, North Carolina, who passed away on July 19, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Wesley Tartt and Ethel Register Tartt; his wife Pamela Melvin Tartt; and his sister Gloria Gardner. He is survived by: his children, Kerri Mitchell (William), Marylou Tartt, Justin Tartt and Sabrina Tartt; his siblings, Joyce Lanier (Lane) and Paul Tartt (Donna); and his grandsons, Hayden, Ben Mitchell and Trevor Tartt. He is also survived by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Community Funeral Home (840 W Main St, Beulaville, NC 28518). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Oleander Memorial Gardens (Oleander Memorial Gardens, Wilmington, NC).
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Children's Home Society of North Carolina, or other foster care and adoption charity, to honor Michael and Pamela's own priceless gift of love to children in need.
