We are sad to announce that on March 11, 2025, at the age of 73, Richard Lamonte Brinson Sr. of Beulaville, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father-in-law Milton Mills; his grandmother Bessie Baysden Edwards; his mother-in-law Pattie Mills; his grandfather-in-law Junnie Turner Mills; and his sister-in-law Rachel Mills White.
He is survived by: his parents, Randolph Brinson and Christine Brinson; his wife Esther Mills Brinson; his children, Richard Lamonte Brinson, Jr. and Jennifer Brinson Whaley (James); his sister-in-law Dolores Day Mills; his granddaughters, Brittany Whaley Sanderson (Trent) and Victoria Whaley Mercer (Seth); his great grandchildren, Addison Griffin, Ava Mercer, Nash Sanderson, Dawson Sanderson and Fallon Mercer; his siblings, Danny Brinson (Geraldine), Morris Brinson (Patty) and Kay Straughn; and his close friends, Wayne Moore and Victor Jones. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes to honor Mr. Brinson's request for donations to be made to Camp Vandemere Christian Camp in Vandemere, NC in memory of Lamont Brinson.
