It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wilber Woolard Bailey of Beulaville, North Carolina, who passed away on October 1, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Wilber may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his wife Edna Bailey; his parents, Hallie Bailey and Wilbur Bailey; and his sister Faye Hill. He is survived by: his children, Eric Bailey of Suffolk, VA., Casey Bailey of Kinston, NC, Tara Holmes (B. J.) and Angel Crumpler (Blake); and his sister Joyce Harrell (Kenneth) of Bear Grass, NC..
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Community Funeral Home (840 W Main St, Beulaville, NC 28518). A burial will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 at the Bailey Family Cemetery.
