It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothea Jeanette Ahles of Biltmore Forest, North Carolina, who passed away on October 25, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid adieu to Dorothea's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Dorothea has bequeathed us. She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Hart Jones and Grace Jeanette Wood Jones; and her husband Robert Donald Ahles. She is survived by: her children, Valerieann Stone (Brad) and Richard Ahles (Gilvane); her grandchildren, Autumn Hart Stone (Charles Bassing, IV), Philip Schuyler Stone (Sara), Christopher Richard Ahles (Alberta) and Justin Ahles; and her great grandchildren, Ella Grace Stone, Olivia Hart Stone and Christopher Ahles.
