Beatrice leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Beatrice’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Beatrice will carry forward her memory in their hearts.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Kennedy and Sarah English Kennedy; her husband John Overton; and her grandson James Epps. She is survived by: her daughter Janet Yurick of Biscoe; her siblings, Dudley Kennedy of Biscoe and Mary Sigmon of Matthews; and her niece Judy Brinkman of Asheboro.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Phillips Funeral Home Chapel (216 S Main St, Star, NC 27356). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at the Biscoe Cemetery (480 N Main St, Biscoe, NC 27209).
