It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Buist Hope of Black Mountain, North Carolina, who passed away on December 16, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Rainey Hope and Nancy Wallace Hope. He is survived by: his daughters, Sarah Strickland Caraway (Hope) of Asheville, NC and Molly Currie Hope of Wanaka; his grandchildren, Douglas, Anna and Margaret Kelso Caraway; and his brothers, Robert Hope of Montreat, NC and David Hope of Greensboro, NC..
