In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Everett leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Everett may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his wife Rachel Granger Gill of Hickory, NC.; his parents, Everett Gill Jr. and Rachel Truex Gill; and his sister Jane Gill Tombes. He is survived by: his children, Blue Grass, Steve Gill of Philadelphia and Emily Gill (Geoff Wilson) of Little Switzerland; his granddaughter Maris Gill (Ian Rice) of Glenwood Springs, CO; and his close friend Nancy Schuman.
Memorial contributions may be made to ABCCM Veterans Restoration Quarters in Asheville, NC or any charity for which the stated goal is social justice and the benefit of the poor.
