Joan will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. She was predeceased by: her parents, Abel Geisinger and Mildred Geisinger of Akron, OH; her sister Judy Hilbish; and her brother-in-law Ralph Hilbish. She is survived by: her husband John DePew of Black Mountain, NC; her daughter Cathy O'Brien; her son-in-law Chris O'Brien of Black Mountain, NC; and her grandchildren, Alex O'Brien of Detroit, MI, Lara O'Brien of Atlanta, GA and Erin O'Brien of Greenville, SC.
