She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Byrd and Lula Byrd of Arden; and her husband William R. Braun. She is survived by: her son Marvin Oates (Idania); and her sister Carolynn Sword. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren. and cousins.
