He is survived by : his mother Wanda Spivey (David Lee Spivey Sr.); his siblings, Carolyn Taylor, Angela Lowman (Michael), Cynthia "Cindy" Lopez (Leo), Tonia Estes (Doyle), Aubrey Spivey (Renee) and Steve Spivey; and his aunts and uncles, Louise Smith (Carroll), Nora Logan, Faye Gee, Pinkney Dalton (Susan) and David Dalton (Betty). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Harwood Home For Funerals (208 W State St, Black Mountain, NC 28711). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
