He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Layton Capell and Margaret Chalker Capell; and his brothers, Harry James Capell and Robert Moreland Capell. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Davis Capell; his sons, Ryan James Capell (Meredith) and Eric Michael Capell (Ali); his sister Mary Ellen Leake; his nieces, JoAnn, Jennifer and Carol; and his nephew Steve.
