She was predeceased by: her parents, Brock Coleman and Mabel Brock Coleman; and her siblings, Vollie Coleman, Sr. and Brockie Robbins. She is survived by: her husband Ronald Hester; her children, Alan Hester (Donna) of Lumberton, Sue McKellar of Cornelius and Ronda Dezso (Allen) of Wallace; her sisters, Opal Suggs of Thomasville, Peggy Fillinger of Alabama, Sandra Fayne of Thomasville and Karen Alexander of Thomasville; her grandchildren, Luke McKellar (Stefanie), Bradley McKellar (C. J.), Ethan McKellar, Curtis Dezso, Will Dezso, James Dezso, Victoria Edwards (Brandon) and Derek Hester (Mary Grace); and her great grandchildren, Jase, Jenna, Aidan, Riley and Chloe.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Abbottsburg Baptist Church (13825 Twisted Hickory Rd, Bladenboro, NC 28320). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 4:15 PM at the Bladen Memorial Gardens (5381 NC-242, Elizabethtown, NC 28337).
