It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Freddie Edwards of Bladenboro, North Carolina, who passed away on July 28, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry Freddie's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May Freddie's journey be filled with peace and serenity, and may he find rest in the embrace of eternity.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Miles Edwards and Maybell Edwards; his daughter Wendy Davidson; and his siblings, Jimmy Edwards and Margaret Bryan.
He is survived by: his wife Rosalie Jackson Edwards; his daughter Rochele Davis (Stan Davis); his grandson Drake Davis; and his sisters, Hilda Bordeaux, Elizabeth Packer (Kent), Wilma Dale Smith (Charles) and Sylvia Batton.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home & Cremation Services (3131 M. L. K. Dr, Elizabethtown, NC 28337). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church.
