She is survived by: her husband Merle Johnson; her children, Michael Johnson (Diana) of Pembroke, GA, Dwayne Johnson (Wendy) of Bladenboro and Daphne Fletcher (Lewis) of Bladenboro; her siblings, Gerald Smith of Bladenboro and Janice Taylor of Elizabethtown; her grandchildren, Caleb Johnson, Emily Johnson, Katie Souter (David), Matthew Johnson (Jackie), Sarah Johnson, Rebecca Johnson, Marley Fletcher and Laney Fletcher; and her great grandchild Charlie Beth Souter.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home & Cremation Services (3131 M. L. K. Dr, Elizabethtown, NC 28337). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Zion Hill Baptist Church (12418 NC-131 Hwy, Bladenboro, NC 28320).
