He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee Gardner Sr. and Darrell Gray Hood; and his brother Dobey Gardner. He is survived by: his children, Blake Gardner of Red Springs and Alyssa Gardner of Bladenboro; his siblings, Benny Yarbrough (Dana) of Red Springs and Faye Wilkins of Dublin; his grandchild Jagger Gardner (Lori Dougherty); the mother of his children Kim; and his mother-in-law Dorothy Shaw.
