He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry McLean and Ruby Hughes McLean; his wife Wanda McLean; and his siblings, Robert McLean, Barden McLean, Myrtle Lee Baxley, Henry Clyde McLean, Stella Spell, Norma Outlaw, Marie Horton and Vivian West.
He is survived by: his children, Kevin McLean (Renee) of Bladenboro, Rhonda Rhodes (Tracy) of Knightdale and Beth McLean of Bladenboro; his siblings, Horace McLean (Linda) of Bladenboro, Mitchell McLean of Bladenboro, Eugene McLean (Mary Ann) of Bladenboro and Esther Hood (Bruce) of Bladenboro; his grandchildren, Amber Avery (Tim), Daniel Jackson, Colby McLean (Ashton) and Jenna McLean; and his great grandchildren, Caleb Deese, Kylee Deese, Ryder Hairr, Rilee Avery and Peyton Avery.
