We are sad to announce that on May 11, 2026 we had to say goodbye to Connie S. Colston of Blounts Creek, North Carolina. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Connie may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Connie touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marshall Henry Strickland and Lela Mae Jones Strickland; and her spouse Layton "Keith" Colston. She is survived by: her brothers, Marshall W. Strickland of Blounts Creek and Billy M. Strickland (Nancy) of Carolina Beach. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Paul Funeral Home & Crematory (900 John Small Ave, Washington, NC 27889). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks for memorial contributions to be made to Core Point Free Will Baptist Church, 6847 Core Point Road, Blounts Creek, NC 27814, or to the charity of one's choice.
