He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Dixon and Kayte Dixon. He is survived by: his wife Irene Dixon; his children, Donald B. Dixon, Jr. (Ellie), Daniel L. Dixon (Michele), Paul E. Downs (Tamara) and Holly Christman (Ward); his grandchildren, Luke Dixon, Garrett Dixon, Carmen Dixon, Kaitlin Jones, Lanece Dyer, Kason Downs, Brenna Christman, Gillian Christman and Karlee Downs; and his siblings, Archie Dixon (Anne) and Judy Wehler (Will). He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church (4013 US-17 BUS, Bolivia, NC 28422).
