He is survived by: his wife Barbara Kay Herring Freeman; his son Joseph Michael Freeman (Lahomah) of Bolton, N. C.; his sister Millie Freeman of Bolton, N. C.; his grandchildren, Jacob Freeman and Kaiden Freeman; and his brother-in-law Milton Woodie. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
