It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ed Lee Carlton Sr. of Boomer, North Carolina, who passed away on April 8, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Carlton and Ruthie Parsons Carlton; and his brothers, Edward Carlton, Damon Carlton and Alfonzo "Ben" Carlton.
He is survived by: his wife Sallie Carlton; his sons, Charles "Squeaky" Carlton of Boomer, Antonio Nigel Carlton of Boomer, Ed Lee Carlton, Jr. (Cheri) of Lenoir, Franklin "Toji" Carlton (Denise) of Savannah, GA and Dwayne Carlton of Boomer; and his sister Patricia Carlton Hendricks of Boomer. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren.
