He is survived by: his spouse Clinie Pearson; his children, Sherry Usrey of Hiddenite, Jerry Pearson of Moravian Falls and Jake Pearson of Boomer; his grandchildren, MaryNelle Usrey of Hiddenite, William Usrey of Taylorsville, Gavin Usrey of Newton, Kolby Usrey of Taylorsville, Christian Pearson of Moravian Falls, Ethan Pearson of Moravian Falls and Shaley Pearson of Moravian Falls; his great grandchild Jackson Murdock-Usrey of Taylorsville; and his siblings, Lora Phillips of Boomer, Mary Anderson of Wilkesboro and Jack Pearson of Boomer. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
