He is survived by: his parents, R. A. Jr. Cornett and Brenda Bentley Cornett; his brothers, Eric Cornett (Marni) of Taylorsville and Elliott S. Cornett of Concord; and his siblings' children, Tyler Cornett of Asheville and Abigail Cornett of Raleigh.
