He is survived by : his wife Betty Jo Cole Stanbery; his sons, James Stanbery (Abigale) of Millers Creek and Allen Stanbery (Shannon) of Boone; his stepson Jerry Ward of Creston; his grandchildren, Ashley Davenport (Winston), Brandon Stanbery, Hannah Stanbery and Megan Hodges (John); his sisters, Rose Freeman of Springfield, Shirley Smith of Granite Falls and Glenna Hollar (AC) of Boone; and his siblings-in-law, Judy Stanbery of Boone and Arlton Cole (Harriet) of Lawrenceville, Georgia..
