With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Jean Phillips Jones of Boone, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 29, 2025 at the age of 90. She was predeceased by: her husband Roy Jones; and her daughter Marsha Jones. She is survived by: her siblings, Martha Jane Ford of Lenoir and Thomas Walter Phillips, Jr. of Franklin; her children, Donna Jones (late Johnny) of Elkin, Deborah Thompson (Mike) of Lenoir, Randy Jones (Carolyn) of Boone and Danny Jones (Pam) of Roxboro; her grandchildren, Kinsey Jones June of Greenville, Laney Jones of Roxboro, Brandon Thompson of Lenoir, Tyson Thompson of Indianapolis, Wesley Jones (Dawn) of Hilton Head, Patrick Jones (Elizabeth) of Raleigh and Harrison Jones of Roxboro; and her great grandchildren, Dawson, Colton Jones of Raleigh, Beckson and Dalton June of Greenville. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
