We are sad to announce that, on June 24, 2023, at the age of 91, Billy Baxter Bentley (Boone, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roby Dewey and Ollie Mae Bentley; and his siblings, Pauline Townsend, Earlene Lail, Maggie Hicks, Mary Ann, Lewis, Robert and Reed Bentley.
He is survived by: his close friend Mary Helen Harmon; his children, Gail Spurlin (Wayne) of Hickory, Gay Martin of Hickory, Barney Bentley (Doris) of Georgia, Bob Bentley (Amanda) of Conover, Benny Bentley of East Coast, NC, Boyd Bentley (Milly Humphrey) of Conover and Boone Bentley (Sandy) of Hickory; and his siblings, Perry'Sam'Bentley (Betty) of Boone, Ned Bentley of Boone, Katie Shore of Boone and Brenda Cornette (R. A.) of Vilas. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
