With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Fran Nichols Ford of Boone, North Carolina, who passed away on October 4, 2023 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband David Jay Ford; her mother Frances House Nichols; her brother Homer Nichols, Jr.; and her great grandchild Gaby Hernandez. She is survived by: her children, Nicolette Davis (Roy) of Las Vegas, NV, Saundra Teaster (Philip) of Banner Elk, John Greg Orpen (Jean) of Colorado and Jim Orpen (Charlene) of Fayetteville; and her siblings, Kay Ogden (Noah) of Visalia, CA, Mary Sanford of Clayton, Sammie Poole of Oklahoma, Daniel Nichols (Wendy) of Raleigh and Dawn Allgood (Don) of Clayton. She is also survived by children and grandchildren.
