It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frances Deane Shuford of Boone, North Carolina, born in Asheville, North Carolina, who passed away on December 3, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey Roberts and Mary Burnett Roberts; her husband Harold Joe Shuford; and her son Jody Shuford. She is survived by: her daughter Rene Shuford of Lansing; her grandson Taylor Shuford (Spencer) of Boone; her daughter-in-law Gail Shuford of Boone; her great grandchildren, Tate and Emmie Lee Shuford of Boone; Harold Bennett. She is also survived by cousins, two sisters-in-law, multiple nieces and a nephew.
