Pitts and Virginia Eloise Harrison; his wife Susan Pitts; his children, Bryan Pitts (Hannah) and Tera Darner (Tige); his grandchildren, Madison, Alex and Kaitlyn; his son Scott (Rebecca); his grandchildren, Abi, Hannah and Noah; his daughter Sarah Fisher (Jason); and his grandchildren, Elijah, Julianne, Ike and Bonnie.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations or memorials to be given to Watauga Humane Society, P.O. Box 1835, Boone, NC 28607, and/or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, in honor of Dr. Gary Pitts, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
