She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Roy Baird and Floy Tolbert Baird; her husband William Henry Tester; her children, Angel Barnhill (Barry) of Wilmington and Dwayne Tester (Kim) of Boone; her grandchildren, Lindsey Barnhill of Wilmington, James Barnhill of Wilmington and Austin Tester (Lakyn) of North Wilkesboro; and her siblings, Marshall Baird (Juanita) of Mt. Airy, Helen Crump of Lenoir and Pauline Hayes (Harold) of Atlanta.
